Reporting to the CFO and Finance Partner, you will provide a premium service to internal stakeholders regarding their tax affairs and compliance. Your attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will ensure partners can focus on their work, knowing their tax obligations are met efficiently. The NFO handles all internal financial matters and reporting, with hubs in Preston and Crawley. A hybrid working setup is possible, with regular contact with the CFO or Finance Partner. You will also need to build strong relationships within the finance team and manage partner and partnership tax processes. Overall Job Purpose Manage all aspects of RSM partnership and partner tax compliance within NFO, ensuring timely and accurate completion for 10 LLPs and approximately 400 partners. Liaise with HMRC on personal tax matters as needed. Support the CFO and Finance Partner in governance and provide advice on partnership tax issues, including Salaried Member rules. Responsibilities Coordinate with IT to develop portals for partners to provide tax information. Prepare annual tax reserve templates for around 400 partners. Review 10-year partnership tax computations and liaise with the Head of Professional Practices and CFO for sign-off. Provide feedback and training on tax computations to the Corporate Reporting team. Prepare tax reserve calculations and partnership tax returns for review and submission. Review partner tax returns before distribution. Forecast partnership tax liabilities and coordinate tax payments. Answer queries from the Finance Partner regarding tax reserves. Understand the RSM LLP Members Agreement and assess its financial implications. Review partner positions related to HMRC’s Salaried Member rules and report findings. Provide ad-hoc tax advice, including pension allowances and liaising with specialists as needed. Respond to HMRC inquiries and assist with withholding tax claims. Prepare charity and trust tax returns. Create policy documentation for risk management and process improvements. Delegate work appropriately and support team development.
