Manage patients presenting with vascular problems and wound management/tissue viability issues. Provide care for patients with chronic diseases such as rheumatology conditions and infectious diseases. Conditions like foot ulcers, calluses, corns, skin conditions, and infections will be initially treated, with routine interventions referred to local providers where possible. Toenail abnormalities will be initially treated to aid mobility, with referrals made for more complex foot surgery as appropriate. Identify and treat musculoskeletal problems using bio-mechanical assessment and gait analysis to determine the most suitable treatment. Order clinical investigations, including X-Rays, and prescribe medications to treat infections. Provide podiatric care to residual limbs, offering interventions similar to those for the contralateral foot. Person specification Knowledge Understanding of conditions causing amputation and associated medical conditions due to multi-pathology.
