This role offers a unique opportunity to be the online face of the airport, contributing to the growth of our social media channels during an exciting expansion phase. Check out a typical day for a Social Media Executive at Manchester Airport: youtu.be/2TWozhXvGtk Key Responsibilities Content: Plan, create, edit, and execute engaging content for an audience of 600k+ on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, aimed at attracting attention and fostering positive engagement. Manage the content calendar collaboratively with another Social Media Executive to ensure consistent content delivery. Understand each social media platform's unique purpose and optimize content accordingly. Schedule posts using Sprout Social. Write compelling copy aligned with our tone of voice. Create proactive content aligned with our strategy, and reactive content responding to trends. Monitor content performance, providing insights and analysis to the Social Media Lead. Collaborate with stakeholders including airlines, retailers, the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MANTP), and marketing teams to support their objectives. Community Management: Respond to customer inquiries and feedback. Maintain relationships with social media followers to enhance engagement. Engage with communities such as plane spotters and airport advocates. What will make you successful in the role? We seek a proactive, creative individual with excellent time management and organisational skills. A keen interest in social media and industry trends is essential. Technical skills desired: At least 1 year of social media experience. Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
