Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesPlease refer to Job description and Person specification for full details To support the Principal Technician, Clinical Trials in the development of the Clinical Trials Service To attend and contribute to any regional and national meetings in relation to Clinical Trials and to feedback and recommend any changes and/or improvements to the service as appropriate to the Principal Technician, Clinical Trials To be able to follow departmental SOPs To be able to use pharmacy computer systems correctly, enter data accurately from transcription sheets, prescription forms and any other prescriptions written by others and ensure that data is stored and archived appropriately in accordance with local and regionally agreed guidelines. To deputise for the Principal Technician Clinical Trials when required. Ensure staffing resource is adequate for the requirement of the service on a day-to day basis Person specificationSkillsEssential criteria Ability to communicate effectively using clear written and spoken English QualificationsEssential criteria Hold a General Pharmaceutical Council -recognised Level 3 or 4 Pharmacy Technician qualification or equivalent (integrated or non-integrated) Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Accredited Checking Technician qualification or working towards. ExperienceEssential criteria Knowledge of all regulations and legislation relevant to Clinical Trials Knowledge of all regulations and legislation relevant to Pharmacy Dispensary Services.
