Social network you want to login/join with: Argos Shift Manager RoleArgos Shift Managers are responsible for managing shifts within our Argos stores, inspiring and motivating teams, and providing on-the-job support. They coach colleagues to ensure excellent customer service while working alongside the team. They may lead the full store operation in the absence of the Store Manager, overseeing tasks such as organizing the warehouse, managing deliveries, and serving customers. They are knowledgeable about our products and services, focusing on driving sales and profitability. Working Hours & FlexibilityThis role requires flexibility in working hours, which range from7:00 AM to 8:30 PM , Monday to Saturday, and9:15 AM to 5:15 PMon Sundays. Location & Travel RequirementsThe position is based inPenzance . The successful candidate will also need to provide cover for days off, holidays, and sickness inFalmouth (24 miles away)andHelston (13 miles away) . Scheduling & TransportRotas are plannedthree weeks in advance . To travel between locations, candidates musthave a valid driving licence and access to their own transport . Ideal CandidateExperience in organizing, running, and planning for a fast-paced operation. Comfortable directing a team, providing coaching, and on-the-spot guidance to ensure excellent customer and colleague experiences. Supportive of store safety and compliance. Strong commercial awareness, including product knowledge, to understand customer needs and drive sales. Ability to meet KPIs and enhance store profitability.
