With our expanding academic portfolio, we are now seeking aDirector of Psychologyto lead the growth and development of Psychology across our campuses.This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for an ambitious academic with a strategic mindset and a passion for excellence in teaching, research, and student outcomes.AsDirector of Psychology , you will lead the development, design and delivery of our Psychology programmes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality to meet the accreditation requirements of the BPS, innovation and student satisfaction. You will also lead on developing academic and employer networks and driving forward our performance against key sector metrics.Working closely with the DVC Academic, you'll help shape the academic environment for Psychology, from recruiting and developing talent to fostering a culture of research, innovation and engagement. Your leadership will be central to our vision of delivering an outstanding, career-focused student experience.As Director of Psychology ,you will be responsible and accountable for:Drive outstanding student experience, performance, and outcomes across all Psychology programmes and modules Ensure programme success exceeds OfS thresholds on continuation, completion, progression, and outcomes Oversee high-quality curriculum and assessment design to meet BPS accreditation requirements and aligned with our academic standards to ensure successful students outcomes and employability prospects Deliver sector-leading programmes with continuous improvement against OfS, QAA, and BPS benchmarks Ensure consistent quality and effective delivery of programmes and assessments across all campuses Lead and support the Head of Psychology in managing academic teams and fostering cross-campus collaboration and sharing best practice Improve stakeholder satisfaction through enhanced student feedback, employability outcomes, and NSS scores Champion innovation in teaching, course design, and digital or online delivery Guide the development of domestic and international student recruitment materials in partnership with marketing teams Represent the University at sector events to strengthen our academic profile and share best practice. Is this you?:We're seeking an experienced senior academic leader with a strong background in Psychology.
