Our Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited, working on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial Heavy Machinery. The RoleThe Lead Engineer will support the Module Leader to ensure the delivery of door trims components. This role is demanding, requiring management of technical delivery and resolution of design issues. Responsible for deploying robust technical delivery processes into project plans, managing design issue tracking and resolution, ensuring design resource efficiency, and forecasting project tasks. Area of ResponsibilityInput/validate DFMEA/DVP Adhere to governance models & maintain/review design dashboards with customers Produce weekly reports on design progress, plan vs. actual, roadblocks/issues & resolutions Track change management Address technical issues in component delivery (design, packaging, supplier DFM, etc.) Plan, define, and incorporate technical best practices, lessons learned, and engineering principles into design delivery Provide benchmarking inputs for parts/system development Forecast design issues early and plan corrective actions Offer technical guidance from concept to delivery Assist team in completing DVP actions and resolving issues promptly Knowledge / ExperienceProven experience in engineering component management Experience in product design, involving complex systems integration or multiple technologies Ability to resolve technical and process issues; automotive experience is advantageous Experience with OEM or tier-one component delivery Knowledge of change control, product definition, and change management processes Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Degree Proficiency in CATIA BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits, including: Pension Scheme - matching employee contributions up to 5% 25 Days' Holiday Private Healthcare Tata Jaguar Land Rover Privilege Scheme - up to 20% off new JLR vehicles Group Income Protection Employee Assistance Program Group Life Assurance Private Health Cash Plan If you're passionate about innovation and want to join a global company, this is the place for you.
