Salaried GP - General Practitioner (maternity cover)The Vernon & Lanes Medical Centre Salaried GP (Maternity Cover) 4 sessions per week Monday and Tuesday. Main duties of the jobSalaried GP post (Maternity Cover until July 31st 2026) Future prospect of permanent position 4 sessions - Monday and Tuesday Low admin due to our administrationstreamlining Minimal home visits due to the Citywide visiting service unique On Call - GP Consultant' model removing the pressure of a traditional on call day Encouragement with training including clinical supervisor training. Enhanced Access rota on a Monday and Wednesday About usThe team are a supportive bunch who meet outside work socially. When the circumstances allow, we have practice social events in the summer and at Christmas, with lots of 'fuddles' in between! We are atraining practicewith 3 Partners, pharmacist, ANPs, Nurses, HCA, in-house Physio, FirstContact Physio, Social Prescribers, Mid Wife, Care Co-ordinator and Phlebotomist. Medicines management team 2 Sites covering Derby City suburbsand Littleover with great access links to A6, A38 and A52. Team built on working together andproviding a family-friendly environment. SystmOne Practice Minor surgery, joint injections, coilsand long-acting contraception. Training practice for GPs and Nurses Overall Good CQC rating Regular in house clinicaltraining/learning sessions Daily MDT meetings providing supportand input from the team Job responsibilitiesTo work as anindependent medical practitioner responsible for the general medical care of patientsregistered with the practice. To providehigh quality clinical care in line with local / national guidelines andevidence based medicine. To be involvedin clinical audit and the development of clinical guidelines within thepractice. Person SpecificationQualificationsApproved medical degree Unrestricted registration with the General Medical Council MRCGP DFFP and family planning experience Minor surgery experience IUD fitting Implanon fitting and removal ExperienceParticipation in annual appraisal and revalidation Good IT skills and ability to record data on clinical computer systems Excellent communicator; telephone and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure Flexibility and a team worker Chronic disease management Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
