The main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Health and SafetyTake full responsibility for all areas of health and safety and enforce all company and branch procedures. TransportScheduling deliveries and collections from the sales team. Fleet compliance. Monthly truck downloads. Weekly driver card downloads. Organising PMI schedules and services for all trucks + MOT. Maintaining driver files, including vehicle and crane daily checks. Speeding reports. Covering maintenance, breakdowns, and call outs. Managing fuel levels and fuel cards, including ordering blue and screen wash levels if required. Reporting driver accidents and incidents. Coordinating agency cover when necessary, including insurance forms and license info. Scheduling Driver CPC training with QDL. Monitoring the tracker system. Branch SiteDaily health 'safety walk with yard manager. Managing PPE distribution. Distributing pick notes and IBT slips to warehouse employees. Controlling order of picks to ensure timely operations and adherence to procedures. Checking and signing off pick notes by yard staff and operations manager for all customer and BT deliveries. Checking goods in and ensuring correct placement. Ensuring pallet quantities and weight limits are not exceeded. Stock ManagementSupporting branch manager with weekly stock takes and quarterly templates, including data entry and problem solving. Monitoring stock min and max levels and supporting the branch manager as needed. Branch SupportInvolvement in sales activities, including answering phones, chasing quotes, and supporting the branch manager to maintain excellent customer experience while always prioritizing health and safety.
