Salary and BenefitsSalary up to £75,000 DOE plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000 Position DetailsSt Georges Halesowen is seeking a full-time or part-time Vet Surgeon to join our team. You can be based solely at our Halesowen GP practice or combine this with days at our Wolverhampton hospital site. A typical day in Halesowen includes 15-minute consultations with a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse available at all times. There would also be up to 3 hours of routine surgery daily, including neutering, lump removals, and dentals if desired. The schedule typically involves morning consultations and afternoon surgeries from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with an allocated break at 4:00 pm. Flexibility is available based on your skills and interests, allowing adjustments to surgery and consultation times. Our typical hours are from 9 am to 7 pm over four days, with a 1 in 3 Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. There are no out-of-hours duties with this role. About UsOur Halesowen practice is conveniently located just 10 minutes from M5 Junction 3, accessible from Wolverhampton, Dudley, Birmingham, and Kidderminster. Birmingham Airport is approximately 40 minutes away. Facilities include an operating theatre, Idexx lab, ultrasound, and dental X-ray. We are a training practice for Student Veterinary Nurses. Our hospital is fully equipped with a CT scanner, digital X-ray, ultrasound, Idexx lab, digital microscope, endoscope, laparoscopic kit, and more. Working at the hospital allows you to undertake more detailed medical work and surgery alongside our team of Certificate Holders and Advanced Practitioners. You can book cases for hospital days to work up with support and access to advanced equipment.
