Tech Team @ Bloom & Wild Our Technology team builds and maintains solutions that power e-commerce, production, and fulfillment, using technologies like Ruby, Rails, Python, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, and GCP. We develop APIs for our web and mobile apps and are exploring new microservices and domain-driven services. Our Product Engineering team is organized into cross-functional squads, each responsible for specific domains, supported by Platform and Data Engineering. You’ll join theRange squad , focusing on internal systems for range representation, product allocation, and stock management, directly impacting customer experience and order fulfillment. What you’ll be doing… As a mid-level engineer in ourRange squad , you’ll help develop and maintain internal tools for warehouse operations, from bouquet assembly to order fulfillment across multiple countries. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand needs and develop solutions. Build and improve internal tools usingRuby on Railsand related technologies. Enhance our monolith and develop new features for our expanding product range. Write clear, tested, secure, maintainable code and participate in code reviews. Explore new ideas to improve our systems and workflows. Contribute to technical decisions regarding architecture, tooling, and best practices. Ensure solutions align with technical strategy and business goals. Work in small, valuable increments using agile practices and modern tools. Monitor, debug, and improve system performance with observability tools. You’ll love this role if… You have 2+ years of Ruby development experience, with good knowledge of Ruby on Rails in production, and want to grow your expertise. You have experience with RESTful APIs, version control (GitHub), and testing (RSpec). You’re curious about how systems work, whether it’s exploring new tools, performance, or translating real-world problems into code. You value a kind, inclusive, and supportive work environment where people care about their work and each other. It would be great if… You have experience in a fast-growing startup or scaleup, preferably in consumer-facing roles.
