Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines to support key business applications and advanced analytics initiatives. Re-engineer and modernise Legacy ETL processes, transitioning them into efficient cloud-native solutions using tools such as Snowflake, AWS, and Airflow. Collaborate closely with data architects, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions in a complex hybrid environment. Investigate and resolve data quality issues, implementing effective monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure reliability and performance. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and best practice through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. Skills/Must have: Proven, hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in both on-premise and cloud-based environments, with the ability to bridge Legacy and modern data ecosystems. Strong working knowledge of Teradata and Informatica, with practical experience in managing and modernising traditional ETL workflows. Proficient in building scalable data pipelines using modern tools such as Airflow, DBT, AWS Glue, and handling large volumes of structured and semi-structured data. Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data manipulation, transformation, and workflow orchestration. Solid understanding of data modelling, data warehousing principles, and techniques for performance tuning and optimisation. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD, version control, and agile development methodologies.
