As aStation Assistant , you will be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service each and every time. You will often be the first point of contact for our customers and play a vital role in making their day! This role involves 24-hour operation, so you must live locally and have access to independent transport to arrive at the station for early shifts, as train services may not always be available. All station-based roles may involve standing for long periods and working shifts including weekends, nights, and bank holidays. Platform-based roles are safety-critical due to direct involvement with the operational railway. You will be responsible for keeping customers informed about route changes, dispatching trains, ensuring display posters are accurate, and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness at the station. You will also be responsible for keeping the station operational and assisting customers as needed.
