We’re enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.About The RoleAs part of the Trading and Optimisation team, the Trading Analyst will;Provide robust fundamental analysis, engage in trading strategies, develop and maintain models, review past analysis, own pricing tools and trading-decision models such as European Pricing models, option pricing and simulation models.Provide market and competitor intelligence and be spotting areas to add value.Be a key member of the team to support and direct the traders towards value, enabling them to make quick and informed decisions.Who We’re Looking ForTo be successful in this role you’ll ideally have…Degree level education in a subject along the lines of science, maths, economics or engineering A working knowledge of UK power markets and experience and understanding of power generation units Solid experience with statistical and fundamental modelling using IT techniques such as; SQL, Python, Excel, Business Intelligence tools (Power BI); and be able to apply a pragmatic approach to large data structures.
