This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled technologist to join our friendly, experienced, and multicultural Nuclear Medicine team at Diana Princess of Wales Grimsby. The department has recently installed a new GE Discovery 870 SPECT/CT system, so experience in hybrid imaging is advantageous. Our second camera is a Philips Brightview SPECT system, with plans to replace it with a second SPECT/CT system soon. We have also received a new Technegas generator system for lung imaging. Previous experience in aseptic radiopharmaceutical production is beneficial, as the department operates an onsite radiopharmacy producing Tc-99m labelled products for internal use. The local area offers some of the lowest housing costs in England, with excellent schools, the Lincolnshire Wolds (an area of outstanding natural beauty), and the seaside resort of Cleethorpes. The Nuclear Medicine department operates from 0800-1800, Monday to Friday; the post holder will participate in this rota, with all contracts being 7-day contracts. The post involves working as part of a team across various workload aspects, maintaining high safety standards and managing high patient throughput.
