About the RoleIn order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.We are seeking a skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a high-performance data center project based in London. You will play a critical role in ensuring all electrical systems are tested, commissioned, and delivered to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.This role requires a strong understanding of mission-critical environments, as well as hands-on experience with LV/MV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and associated control systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute commissioning procedures for electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, STS, and lighting.Perform functional testing, inspections, and validation in line with commissioning protocols and industry standards.Work closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.Review and verify documentation including method statements, risk assessments, test scripts, and commissioning records.Identify and resolve issues during commissioning, escalating as necessary to ensure timely project delivery.Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.Support client witness testing (CWT) and final handover documentation.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of commissioning experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructure.Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, and power distribution.Familiarity with commissioning standards (BS7671, CIBSE, Uptime Institute, etc.).Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.ECS or equivalent electrical certification (preferred).Right to work in the UK.
