Youll be a key point of contact for ensuring the smooth running of essential building services across the campus, working closely with our Engineering Lead, Facilities Manager, and wider Sodexo team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and proven team management experience, looking to take ownership of a critical service in a high-profile university environment. If you enjoy leading from the front, problem-solving on the go, and want to work in a collaborative, purpose-led environment, this could be the perfect next step for you.What youll do:Lead and supervise a team of on-site engineers, supporting performance, training, and developmentOversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systemsCoordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requestsEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work proceduresCarry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentationManage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checksWhat you bring:HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subjectExtensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical or similar.Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similarExperience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environmentsExcellent communications both written and verbal.Numerate and computer literate.Previous experience of managing a team of engineersDesirable:Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical InstallationsLevel 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical InstallationsMembership of Institute of Leadership and ManagementIOSH Managing SafetyEmergency first aid qualificationIOSH Managing SafetyWhat we offer: Working with Sodexo is more than a job; its a chance to be part of something greater.
