A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.Here at Americold Whitchurch we are now recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician.As a Maintenance Technician your role will be to assist the Engineering Manager with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical, electrical and refrigeration planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.This position will require you to control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to and to ensure the departments risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant.You will drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team and assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.Experience RequiredSkill / Knowledge:Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical MaintenanceRefrigeration knowledge/experienceAmmonia knowledgeWarehouse/Distribution knowledge/experienceComputer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance softwareFormal Supervisor trainingQualifications (i.e. critical requirement to perform the role)NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent17th/18th Edition Qualified - desirableIOSH Managing safety.Personal Qualities, Motivation & Expectations:Ability to operate in a fast-moving organization,Responsive problem-solving skills with an action-oriented mind set.Excellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to priorities accordingly.Working Hours4 on 4 off pattern from 6am - 6pmAt Americold UK we are committed to the well-being and professional growth of our employees, offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your personal and career development.
