Overview: Our client, based in eastern EUis seeking two Senior Wintel Engineers to join their Cloud Platform team. This is a high-impact role focused on automating patch management, vulnerability remediation, and enforcing CIS compliance within an on-premise environment. Youll be working on a key project stream (CSVM), helping to shape and streamline infrastructure management processes using Chef for configuration automation. This is a fully remote opportunity with immediate start available (UK, EUremote)Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Chef Cookbooks for automating patching and compliance activitiesImplement infrastructure automation solutions in a Wintel server environmentSupport ongoing vulnerability remediation and CIS compliance initiativesCollaborate with cloud and security stakeholders across the platform teamContribute to process improvements and documentationMust-Have Experience:Proven expertise with Chef (this is non-negotiable)Strong experience in Wintel engineering within enterprise environmentsSolid understanding of patch management, compliance frameworks, and automation workflowsComfortable working independently and in cross-functional remote teamsNice-to-Have:Exposure to large-scale on-prem and hybrid environmentsFamiliarity with modern DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
