Unlike traditional contractors, where you are hired by the client, you remain a permanent employee of Peregrine, with access to all our standard benefits:A Permanent PositionLife Assurance5% annual bonusPension Scheme Employer matched to 5%Voluntary Benefits Health Cash Plan, Dental, Will Writing etcAnnual Leave 23 days rising to 27 with length of serviceSick Pay Increasing with length of serviceRole overview: Trade Flow Support (London)Manage global trading platform readiness: pre-trading & post-tradingProvide monitoring and support for end-to-end transaction flow across the trading platformQuickly identify, analyse and correct alerts & issues and/or escalate to minimize trade flow impact and pre-empt outagesIncident management: create and send reports following established processIntensive interaction with trading community, back-office operations, brokers, exchanges, development and infrastructure teamsSupport scheduled changes: application deployments, network implementations and server maintenanceOversee automated processes, scheduled jobs and regular reportsManage users requests: track requests, review approvals, updates, resolution, closure, etc.Identify inefficiencies such as repetitive activities, manual processes and suboptimum tools/workflows to drive continuous improvements via automation, collaboration with internal and external teamsKey responsibilities & qualificationsHands on trade flow support experience essentialProficient in Linux OSProficiency with Bash and a scripting language such as Python or Perl requiredDetailed practical knowledge of FIX. Ideally, familiarity with native exchange protocolsExperience in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL)Familiarity with KDB+ is beneficialWorking knowledge with TCP/IP, multicast, TCPdump, clocking (PTP, NTP) BeneficialBachelors degree in computer science, Engineering or related subjectHighly organized, detailed, control oriented, enjoys solving problems and brings in a "take charge" attitudeStrong verbal/written communication skills required to support daily interaction with brokers, exchanges, and internal teamsSelf-motivated individual that takes initiatives and has an ownership & accountability mindsetMust show the ability to make quick decisions and establish priorities in a multi-tasking & fast-paced environmentExperience with the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), Elastic Stack and NagiosKnowledge of ITIL is advantageousIf you hold the experience and technical skills outlined above which would enable you to hit the ground running, please apply to find out more information about this exciting opportunity.About us: At Peregrine, we see beyond the immediate and look to the horizon.
