The role will be responsible for delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions, and build strong relationships with our clients and supply chain. Your enthusiastic, proactive and professional approach will be key to successful project commercial outcomes.Why NuviaNuvia - a subsidiary of VINCI construction - is an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally.Nuvia is a performance-driven company that is committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.Reports toCommercial Manager or Head of CommercialKey AccountabilitiesProvide commercial delivery of the following aspects for projects that operate on a lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable basis:Project cash flow and budgetContractual terms & conditions (both client and supply chain)Interim applications in accordance with contract proceduresChange management, in accordance with contract proceduresNegotiation of contract amendments, including review of terms & conditionsSubcontract account management, including review of interim applications, preparation of payment certificates, management and assessment of potential changes, and final accounting upon completionPreparation of internal cost / commercial reports, including accurate margin forecastingCompliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulationsQualifications and ExperienceDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered)5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industryGood working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E)Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projectsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to build excellent relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chainAbility to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlinesPC literate in the Microsoft Office suiteDesirable Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management System Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIA Line Management experience General understanding of nuclear process plant and equipment Full UK driving licence Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessaryThe Job Description is a broad statement of the purpose, scope, and responsibilities essential to performing within the role to a required standard.
