This is an exciting permanent opportunity within the Industrial Automation sector, offering a blend of office-based and remote work, with travel across the UK, Europe, offshore, and internationally as required.The role involves delivering first-class technical support and includes tasks such as:System and safety design (including SIL classification and lifecycle compliance)Project planning and executionConfiguration and programming for DCS and Safety systemsFactory and Site Acceptance TestingTransition to site and commissioningSupervision of suppliers and quality controlCompletion of project documentation and formal handover to the clientYou will be working on continuous and batch process control systems and involved in creating solutions that support autonomous operations and digital transformation for our clients across a wide range of industries.What Were Looking ForSkills and Experience:Proven experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial automation sectorsMinimum HNC qualification in engineering or a process-related subjectIdeally TUV Functional Safety Certified, or demonstrable understanding of functional safety conceptsCompetence in DCS software configuration and batch/continuous process programmingExperience in alarm rationalisation and knowledge of EEMUA 191Knowledge of safety systems (SIL classification, SIF calculations, logic solver implementation, etc.)Familiarity with management systems such as ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, and 45001Willingness and ability to travel to client sites including offshore (offshore certification is a plus, though training can be provided)Full UK driving licence required
