Senior Quantity SurveyorAll the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.60,000 - 70,000Kent Are you a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the utilities or civil engineering sectors? We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking client for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team in the UK water industry.You will report directly to the Commercial Manager, and you will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of Project(s).Key responsibilities will include:Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packagesLiaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control costCollaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are metManage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessaryPreparation and issue of subcontract documentationAssist in the management and performance of subcontractorsManage the preparation and agreement of applications for paymentThe preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts.Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staffEnsure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.Maintain a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this roleIn all internal and external contact, present a professional and positive image of the department and as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive and beneficial relationships.Take all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentialityAbout The CandidateEssentialDegree or equivalentWorking towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institutionExperience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectorsNEC3 ExperienceDesirableExperience of managing and developing an individual or small team
