Job Title: Mechanical TechnicianConsidering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.Salary: Up to 36,700 + on call payment, and company vehicle- opportunity for overtimeLocation: AldermastonWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pmAbout the Company:Outsource UK's client are a global bulk hazardous liquid storage and distribution organization, seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team in the Aldermaston areaResponsibilities:Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment within the plant, in line with the Asset Maintenance Management System (Maximo). This includes inspecting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, valves, compressors, and other mechanical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.Provide out-of-hours support when necessary including being part of an out of hours on call rota. This may involve emergency call-outs to attend to breakdowns or defects, requiring flexibility in working hours. Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, working autonomously and collaboratively as needed.Regularly travel to different locations across the pipeline system network to carry out inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs. You may need to inspect equipment at various plant sites, responding to issues that arise and ensuring the equipment meets operational standards.Key Skills Required:Experience in a maintenance role within the petrochemical or heavy industry, or within a similar plant or facility environment.Familiarity with Maximo, or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), to manage maintenance workflows, track asset conditions, and record maintenance activities.Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in relation to pumps, valves, compressors, and other essential mechanical systems..Ability to work independently and respond to out-of-hours maintenance emergenciesfor more information please contact Liam Fahey on 0161 694 9207/ lfahey@outsource-uk.co.uk
