With over 100 Great Taste Awards and ambitious growth plansincluding the expansion of their Edinburgh-based production sitethis is a fantastic time to get involved.The Role:This is a hands-on position offering a diverse mix of responsibilities across compliance, product development, and sustainability. Youll work closely with a highly experienced Technical Consultant and production management team, gaining exposure to all aspects of food manufacturing in a high-standard, BRCGS Grade AA facility.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with food safety, legal, and quality standardsMaintain and update internal systems, including BRCGS and Soil Association Organic certificationManage quality systems such as HACCP and TACCPConduct internal audits and support external auditsAssist with new product development, from concept through to launchSupport the business in tracking emissions and contributing to sustainability planningHandle customer technical queries and ensure technical documentation is accurate and up to dateCommunicate relevant legal and industry updates internallyContribute to technical training and management reviewsThe Ideal Candidate:A degree in Food Quality Management or a related field is preferred (but not essential with relevant experience)Experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment (during or post-study)Familiarity with BRCGS standards and food labelling requirementsExcellent organisational and communication skillsExceptional attention to detail and a methodical approachEagerness to learn and take initiative within a small, fast-paced teamPassion for working in a high-quality food manufacturing environmentSalary: Up to 40,000 per annum + BenefitsThis role offers a fantastic opportunity to build your career in food technical, with support from experienced professionals, exposure across all areas of the business, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to quality, innovation, and sustainability efforts.
