Project ManagerApplying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.Position: Project ManagerLocation: Home based with at least one day a week in London Hours: Full time Remuneration: 45,000 55,000 DOECOMPANY INFORMATIONUK Water Industry Research (UKWIR) was established in 1993 by the UK waterindustry to facilitate and manage collaborative research on one voice issues.UKWIR's members are the 18 water companies in the UK and Ireland.We are a team based in a central London office and our objective is to procure, manage and deliver a national programme of research for the UK water companies. Our research is often carried out in collaboration with government departments and the water industrys regulators. Work is also undertaken in collaboration with research organisations in the UK and internationally.WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver a subset of projects from our strategic research programme of relevance and value to our members. This will be achieved by working closely with UKWIRs members, their regulators and the contractors delivering the projects.The role requires a level of leadership and responsibility in relation to project and contract management. Also key will be the maintenanceof relationships with key stakeholders, managing project related finances and ensuring the effectiveness of delivery of the subset of projects in the programme.The role will be a full-time position, mainly home based but with one day a week in London and in person attendance required at some project meetings (held mainly in London).WHAT SKILLS ARE REQUIRED?Essential Proven experience in project management and deliveryProven experience in management and tracking of project financesDevelop good relationships and work collaboratively with UKWIR members, their regulators and contractorsGood communication and organisational skillsHigh degree of initiative and ability to work independentlyDesirableGood level of understanding of the water industry, its activities and operationsExperience in managing and delivering programmes of workGood level of IT skillsContract management experienceAbility to work as part of a small team
