Our printing facility, based in Watton, Norfolk, specialises in flexographic printing, predominantly on polyethylene films.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Print Manager to oversee and lead the flexographic print operations for our flexible, polyethylene films. The individual must be committed to meeting high-quality standards, optimising efficiency, reducing waste, maintaining a safe, working environment and meeting client specifications. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our production capabilities and maintaining our reputation for excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate training and professional development initiatives to enhance team skills and overall performanceProvide effective leadership and motivation to a team comprising of Press Operators, Supervisors, and Support StaffManage and oversee the entire flexographic printing process including job setup, colour matching and final output ensuring operational excellence at every stageEnsure adherence to production schedules whilst maintaining high standards of quality and consistencyImplement and uphold quality control procedures, including regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with business and customer standardsEnsure all products meet customer specifications and demonstrate a strong ability to diagnose and resolve printing issues promptly to minimise production downtimeMonitor and evaluate the performance and condition of printing equipment to ensure optimal functionalityContinuously assess production processes to improve efficiency, maximise output and reduce material wasteManage inventory levels of inks, plates and films to support production flowEmbed a proactive Health and Safety culture in conjunction with BRC standards, working in collaboration with the Group Compliance ManagerCollaborate with the Sales team to gain a clear understanding of client requirements and expectations and coordinate press passes as necessaryCompile, analyse and interpret production data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvementDocument and report on technical issues, production performance and improvement initiatives in a clear and timely mannerThe Ideal Candidate:Demonstrates extensive experience in the flexographic printing process, with a strong background in managing print production operationsProven track record of effective team leadership and operational management within a manufacturing or print environmentFamiliarity with UTECO Central Impression (CI) Printing Presses is desired but not essential (full training will be provided for the right candidate)Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teamsExhibits strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outputThorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations, with practical knowledge of standards and compliance requirements under the BRC (British Retail Consortium) frameworkWe look forward to welcoming a dedicated and experienced Print Manager to our team, someone who shares our commitment to quality and innovation in the polythene manufacturing industry.
