What do we need?Due to a growing customer base, we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager for our Utilities / Renewables sector client(s)With a hands on background in IT infrastructure installation, (i.e. large structured cabling and fibre optic systems) you will have progressed into managing projects within the key sectors we work with with this role working primarily with our Energy client(s)Who are our clients?Most of our customers are police forces and renewable energy companies. We support their IT so they can keep the UK safeAbout the RoleOur projects include:On and Offshore renewables.Cabling infrastructure.Network infrastructure.Network security.CCTV / ANPR camera estates.Onsite comms and connectivityOur customers in these sectors are demanding the work they do is mission critical and untimely project delivery will result in commercial consequences.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with customers and internal teams to deliver large industrial projects for our Energy clients.Manage the project to time and budget, including appropriate handling of risks, issues and scope changes.Managing multiple customer projects end-to-end with potential conflicting priorities.Work with team leaders to effectively manage resources allocated to projects.Proactive customer communications to ensure you are professionally communicating all project updates (good and bad) whilst maintaining a positive customer experience.Produce relevant project KPI reports on project billing and profitability targets.Identify risks within a project and work with the team to manage or mitigate these risks.Manage H&S risks associated with onsite activities in potentially hazardous industrial locationsAbout you you will have5+ years managing large projects of 1 million and above.A proven track record in managing the commercial aspects of a project (at a large scale).Infrastructure project management experience.A proven hands-on technical background.Excellent project management reporting experience.Experience of managing Health & Safety risks in industrial sites.A high level of computer literacy with advanced MS Excel and MS Project skills.Experience of following established project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile and Prince2.Required attributesExcellent communication skills.Inherent commercial acumen.Willing to work out of any location required for project delivery.Highly organised with great time management skills.Naturally proactive and thorough.Able to prioritise effectively.Calm under pressure.Excellent attention to detail.High standards.Assertive.Role requirementsFull UK driving license.The ability to achieve Security clearance (to NPPV3 SC).Remote work setupPrepared to work from customer locations when the project demandsPrepared to work some evenings and weekends when the project demands.What we offerUp to 60K dependent on skills and experience.25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays).Ongoing funded skills training and certification.Bring Your Own Device Scheme.For more information on this role please contact Harry Driscoll at Prince Talent & Resourcing Group on 0208 050 1477 / harry@prince-resourcing.co.uk
