Job: Design EngineerIndustry: AutomotiveLocation: TamworthThis is fantastic opportunity to join an innovative automotive manufacturing business, who due to success, are looking to expand their design team with the appointment of a Design Engineer.The ideal candidate will have strong experience of fabrication design using plastics and sheet metal materials, be proficient with Solidworks and have some automotive design experience.Responsibilities• Liaising with Sales/project team and clients• Designing concept models from brief, ready for customer sign off • Carrying out full 3D design of concept to the point of releasing fabrication drawings and dxf’s• CNC programming the full 3D design using Swood (Integrated with Solidworks)• Draughting full manufacturing drawings ready for release to the workshop teams• Creating Bill of Materials, audit trails and releases of design/product changesQualificationsEducation or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline3D CAD experienceProficient in Solidworks
