About the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations / Supply Chain / Purchasing Manager to join our expanding operations team. This role is central to our continued growth and offers real opportunity to influence how we manage suppliers, stock, and purchasing across the business.You will be a proactive and detail-focused professional who thrives on delivering excellent customer service, negotiating the best deals, and ensuring quality through every part of the supply chain.This role is being introduced as a result of both internal progression and long-term business growth. For the right candidate, it offers the potential to expand into broader operational responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all purchasing activity across all Summit business unitsBuild and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, pricing, and complianceCreate and implement supplier performance toolsLead and develop the purchasing team, while supporting warehouse and fabrication areasMaintain accurate and up-to-date pricing in the ERP systemSupport the sales team with updated supplier pricing and termsManage stock levels based on historic sales data and future demand forecastingOrganise international freight and manage associated costsRead and interpret legal documents such as supply contracts and import/export agreementsChampion the integration of purchasing and logistics into the core of business operationsEssential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in a similar supply chain or purchasing roleExperience managing supplier and customer relationshipsExcellent communication skills and fluent in EnglishStrong working knowledge of supply chain processes and ERP systemsAbility to manage a team and deliver results under pressureRecord of achieving cost savings and hitting delivery deadlinesDesirable ExperienceOffice 365 proficiencyExperience with MS Dynamics CRMFamiliarity with MS Navision / Business CentralQualificationsDegree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business (or relevant experience)MCIPSFull UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UKReady to take the lead in transforming how we manage our supply chain?Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion.
