Finance Officer, International Development Organisation, £28-£32k, Central LondonAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join a busy and friendly finance team within an impactful international development organisation. This is a brilliant role for someone at the early stages of their finance career who is looking to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of finance functions.Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll support the day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and bank reconciliations. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn, keen to build a strong foundation in finance.Key responsibilities:Process supplier invoices, staff expenses and credit card claims accurately and in a timely mannerMonitor the accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring outstanding items are followed up promptlySupport with credit control – chasing outstanding debts and maintaining accurate recordsPerform regular bank reconciliations and support with cash management and banking runsAssist with monthly and year-end processes, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliationsHelp maintain accurate financial records and support audits as neededLiaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries professionally and efficientlyAbout you:Educated to degree level, ideally in a finance, accounting or related disciplineAt least one year’s experience in a finance role following graduationStrong attention to detail and excellent numerical skillsConfident user of Excel and finance systemsClear communicator with good interpersonal skills – comfortable liaising with both internal and external stakeholdersA proactive attitude and willingness to learnInterested in pursuing a chartered accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to grow within a mission-led organisation, gain experience across the full finance cycle, and take the next step towards a professional qualification.If you’re ready to start building a career in finance while supporting meaningful global work – we’d love to hear from you!
