Job Title: Design Technology Teacher – Secondary SchoolLocation: BirminghamStart Date: September 2025Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Strong potential for permanent)Pay: £153.00–£224.00 per day (Depending on experience)About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, long-term position with strong potential to become permanent from September 2025.The successful candidate will inspire students in areas such as product design, resistant materials, or graphics, fostering creativity, technical understanding, and problem-solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons to secondary studentsAdapt teaching strategies to suit varying learning styles and abilitiesMaintain a safe and well-organised workshop environmentEncourage innovation, independence, and design thinkingCollaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support student outcomesAssess student work in line with school policy and provide constructive feedbackRequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UKExperience teaching Design Technology at secondary school levelStrong classroom and behaviour management skillsKnowledge of health and safety procedures in a workshop settingEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)ScheduleMonday to FridayDay shifts only Application QuestionsDo you have QTS in the UK?Are you authorised to work in the United Kingdom?Do you hold a Bachelor's degree?How to ApplyIf you meet the requirements above and are interested in this opportunity, please submit your application through the online portal or job board where this advert is posted.
