Their focus on developing facilities for the public, commercial, residential, and offshore sectors positions them at the centre of dynamic growth within these markets.The roleAs a result of ongoing growth, their London-based team is looking for a Strategic Project Manager. This key role involves developing, maintaining, and overseeing a thorough long-term accommodation masterplan. The successful candidate will proactively identify capacity constraints, risks, and opportunities within the client's portfolio, ensuring a complete understanding and strategic planning of evolving space requirements.Supporting smarter, future-ready estate development, this role operates at the intersection of Capital Projects, Estates, and Clinical Planning. It ensures alignment between infrastructure and operational needs across clinical, non-clinical, and community services.Key responsibilities;Lead multi-disciplinary teams to effectively deliver detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timelines and cost targets are consistently met. Coordinate internal and external resources in alignment with project objectives.Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with healthcare clients, principal contractors, consultants, and all relevant stakeholders. Ensure consistent alignment on progress, expectations, and objectives through effective communication. Lead negotiations for timelines, budgets, and deliverables.In healthcare settings, proactively identify and mitigate potential risks. Continuously monitor for emerging issues and implement contingency plans as needed.Uphold the highest quality standards throughout project delivery, adhering to healthcare regulations, client specifications and safety protocols.Continuously monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure efficient resource allocation. Actively seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Inspire and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and solution-focused work environment. Guide team members, delegate tasks, and manage performance.Develop succinct and precise reports for both clients and senior stakeholders.The candidateWe are seeking a confident, entrepreneurial and ambitious individual with a commercial mindset. The ideal candidate will be eager to work hard and contribute to an exciting and growing business.Hold a degree in Project Management or Construction Management, or possess a Project Management certification (e.g., AMP, PMP).A master's degree or professional membership (e.g., MCIOB or MRICS) is advantageous.Minimum of 10 years' experience in the healthcare sector, unless transferable skills from another complex sector can be demonstrably applied.Spearheading lead generation and business development are critical.Proven expertise in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, encompassing all phases from feasibility studies to successful delivery.Deep understanding of UK construction laws, particularly healthcare design standards (HTMs/HBNs).Awareness of infection control and operational protocols, with experience working in live healthcare environments.In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery models (primary, secondary, and tertiary) and the influence of physical infrastructure on clinical workflows.Demonstrated success in managing construction projects from initial pre-construction phases through to final handover.Demonstrates strong skills in planning, scheduling, and resource management.Experience using project management software (e.g. MS Project, Asta Powerproject, Primavera).Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.Extensive knowledge of UK construction regulations, particularly healthcare compliance standards.Join an experienced team of professionals and become an integral part of a collaborative and thriving business experiencing an exciting phase of growth.
