Business Development Manager – Energy Sector (UK & Ireland)Location: Home-Based / Remote (UK & Ireland Coverage)Sector: Renewables / Zero Emissions TechnologiesSR2 is proud to be working alongside one of Germany's largest and oldest global engineering and technology business', renowned for its innovation in industrial connectivity, automation, and energy solutions. Due to continued growth across the UK and Ireland, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the Energy division, focusing on emerging and zero-emission technologies including Solar, Wind, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and Hydrogen.What will you be doing?This national role will be pivotal in driving business growth through the development of new and existing relationships across key market segments. You will work closely with customers, end users, EPCs, and system integrators to deliver engineered solutions into single and repeat projects. The role demands a consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term pipeline development, strategic partnerships, and technical solution design.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage a strong sales pipeline within the renewables and emerging energy segmentsDrive year-on-year sales growth aligned with business targetsEngage with key decision-makers at all levels to ensure the growth of technology solutionsWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams including field sales, marketing, and international colleaguesDeliver customer presentations, training sessions, and represent the company at exhibitions and industry eventsMaintain up-to-date CRM data and contribute to regular reporting and forecastingSupport product and solution launches within the local marketWhat are they looking for?Proven experience in renewable energy sectors (Solar, Wind, Hydrogen, ESS)Background in industrial connectivity, automation, or control systems is highly desirableStrong commercial and technical acumen with a track record of developing business from design through to deliveryExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsHighly self-motivated, organised, and able to manage a remote national role effectivelyHNC or equivalent technical qualification preferredWhat’s on offer?Competitive salary up to €65,000 and performance-based bonus Company benefits and holiday entitlementDynamic, supportive team environmentProfessional development opportunities with a global organisationIf you think you'd be suitable for this position, then please send an up to date CV to greg.blake@ or apply using this job ad!
