We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support our engineering operations and drive performance across the site.About the RoleReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in coordinating daily maintenance activities and ensuring the site operates at peak performance. You’ll support and lead technicians, help drive down downtime, and be part of a callout rota (1 week in every 4) to provide vital out-of-hours support.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning and coordinating the maintenance team’s daily tasksProvide effective and timely support to production, including during calloutsOperate all tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectivelyChampion safe working practices and contribute to achieving a zero-accident environmentEnsure maintenance documentation is completed accurately and signed off as neededApply sound engineering practices to maximise equipment efficiencyRespond quickly to breakdowns, working to minimise downtime and improve reliabilityConduct and follow risk assessments before undertaking maintenance tasksPrioritise maintenance activities and complete them within required timeframesContribute to the achievement of site KPIs and departmental goalsWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in a similar maintenance role within a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environmentCore electrical qualifications and 5+ years of hands-on experienceStrong mechanical understanding and abilityPractical experience with PLC systems and process controlExcellent communication, prioritisation, and time management skillsProactive problem solver with high attention to detailAdaptable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a teamCompetent in using Excel, Word, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)Full UK driving licence requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryEnhanced holiday entitlementCompany sick payLife insuranceHealth cash plansFamily-friendly policiesEV/ULEV car schemeCycle to work scheme
