Full Time, TA-KO, Stoke Newington - 16 per hour. We are an independent restaurant and cocktail bar in Stoke Newington, serving Asian inspired tacos. We have a rare opportunity available for the right person to join our team. Ideally we are looking for a bartender who loves to get out on the floor and deliver terrific service. Or a waiter/waitress who loves to jump behind the bar and make cocktails. We are a small team and work together and support each area of the business, every shift. This could also be a great next step for someone looking to get into venue or bar management as well. We would love you to get involved with stock control, writing menus and cocktail development. A promotion to a Management Position within 6 months is very possible. We fully cross train every bar team member, from waiting tables, running the kitchen to bartending on point. We prefer to find the right person and fit a role to them, so all applicants are considered. Team members must be easy going and easy to get along with, happy to chat with regulars and locals, but able to set up on busy shifts and work well within a tight team. We are open from Tuesday to Friday from 5-11 and Saturday from 12-11. As a fully independent business we have full creative control over all elements, because of this we love to involve our team and encourage ideas that could improve our systems, service or menus. It also means that efficiency is key to our success, so individuals with high energy who like to hustle are essential. Requirements: Previous experience with classic cocktails A good knowledge of classic cocktail specs An interest and base knowledge in Asian cuisine Able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment Happy to wash up, run food and help out in all areas of the business when required Ability to stay calm and friendly even when under pressure Responsibilities: Ensure drink quality and presentation meet our high standards Collaborate with our Bar Manager to develop new menu items and specials Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines Keep a clean and organised bar at all times Ensure venue specs are adhered too Manage reservations on a daily basis and assist Manager on busy shifts We prefer to find the right person and fit a role to them, so all applicants are considered. The Package: Once training is complete, depending on your experience, you will be working a combination of 2-3 floor shifts and 2-3 bar shifts each week. 13 per hour plus equal share of service charge. Usually in excess of 16 per hour - paid monthly (If you work 45 hours per week, this equates to 35k Per Year) Service charge is spilt evenly between the whole team and paid on a monthly basis with salary.
