Programme Manager Buckinghamshire Hybrid 2-3 days pw onsite 80,000 to 90,000 plus benefits Are you an experienced Programme Manager ready to lead strategic programmes that drive real business impact? Our client is seeking a high-performing Programme Manager to lead a major transformation programme, including a significant database migration and multiple strategic projects. About the Role As Programme Manager, youll be accountable for planning, implementing, and tracking a complex, multi-stream programme aligned with the organisations strategic objectives. Youll manage cross-functional teams, oversee multiple workstreams, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality and benefits realisation. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic programmes and high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. Oversee a major database migration alongside a broader portfolio of change initiatives. Establish and manage programme governance, reporting, and risk control frameworks. Lead on setting the scope for and owning the delivery of workstreams that are complex or not clearly defined. Ensure optimisation of return-on-investment. Adapt standard project methodologies and apply experience in order to address complex business issues. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including senior leadership, external vendors and key functions. Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers and support staff to deliver excellence. Communicate progress and manage expectations across all stakeholder groups. Support the development and implementation of any Request for Proposal (RFP) to transform the organisations infrastructure. What youll bring Proven experience managing complex, large-scale programmes circa 15 mil budget, ideally gained in the insurance and/or financial services sector. Demonstrated success in complex change and technology delivery projects (data migration/re-platforming) Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, motivate, influence and challenge a wide range of stakeholders up to exec level. Youll be comfortable with ambiguity and leading others through a changing project landscape with shifting priorities, while maintaining focus on priorities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams. Strong communications skills and gravitas the role-holder will be expected to communicate clearly, assertively and professionally within the project teams and within the business at the highest levels. Experience of workshop facilitation would also be useful. Expertise in programme and project methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, MSP). Track record of resolving complex issues and making informed, strategic decisions. Professional project/change management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP).
