This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Side Boom Operator to play a pivotal role in one of the UKs most impactful pipeline programmes.This is your chance to contribute to a nationally significant pipeline project that supports the UKs energy transition. Youll be working as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team focused on innovation, safety and sustainable infrastructure.You will oversee welding operations at the front end of the pipeline construction process, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and technical compliance across all pre-assembly and fit-up phases.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate side boom pipelayers in line with project lifting plans and safety proceduresLift, move, and lay pipe sections accurately into positionConduct daily checks and basic maintenance on plant equipmentWork closely with ground crews, pipefitters, and supervisors to ensure safe lifting operationsMaintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-siteTo be considered you must haveRecognised and valid CPCS or NPORS Side Boom Operator certificationProven experience operating side booms on major pipeline or infrastructure projectsUnderstanding of lifting plans, slinging, and rigging best practicesAbility to work well within a team in a fast-paced, safety-critical environmentValid health & safety credentials (CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport)Want to learn more?
