This is a skilled role within a small, well-supported team, manufacturing parts that are used in vital sectors around the world.Youll be given time to settle in, with support from experienced colleagues and access to excellent facilities in a clean, well-organised, modern environment.Responsibilities Setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes (also known as swiss-type lathes, made by companies such as Citizen, Star,Tornos,Nakamura-Tome or similar)Producing precision components in aluminium and stainless steel to tight tolerancesPassing your first-off through inspection, then checking your own work against drawings using gauges and micrometerMaintaining a clean and organised workstationWorking withother team members to meet production targetsRequirements Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning machinesComfortable working from technical drawings and specificationsHigh attention to detail and a strong commitment to qualityA background in roles such as: CNC Turner, CNC Setter Operator, CNC Lathe Machinist, Sliding Head OperatorAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established, forward-thinking precision engineering business that supplies high-value components worldwide.
