The role would suit someone with previous experience of producing high quality fabrications or with a relevant welding, fabrication apprenticeship or qualification.As the Sheet Metal worker, you will:Read, interpret & work to engineering drawings to produce high quality assembliesFabricate metal enclosures from mild steelMIG & TIG welding, using long welds and making watertightWork on a range of structural frameworkWork with 1mm-3mm thick stainless steel, aluminium and mild steelOperate sheet metal working machinery including punching and folding machinesCut metal using saws and guillotinesWork to a high-quality standardAs the Sheet Metal worker, you will have:Strong welding skills using MIG & TIGExperience of working with mild & stainless steel in an engineering environmentAbility to read engineering drawingsAbility to work independently and be self-motivatedGood work ethic and keen to learn new skillsExcellent attention to detailBe hard working and conscientious with a can-do attitudeIdeally hold a relevant sheet metal fabrication apprenticeship or qualificationsHave previous experience in producing high quality bespoke fabricationsBenefits:Monday to Thursday - 7.15 am - 4.15 pm, Friday - 7.15 am to 12.15 pmPermanent position - 39 hours per weekEmployee benefits schemeOvertime availableClean working environment with modern facilities, working alongside highly skilled staffEasily commutable from Ilkley, Colne, Otley, Silsden, Addingham & BarnoldswickCall Sally at Travail Employment Group for an immediate interview on 01423 530138Travail Employment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
