Network EngineerCheck out the role overview below If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today.Warwickshire - Hybrid48,000 - 54,000 + on call allowancePLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE A BRITISH CITIZEN/ILR HOLDER TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE DUE TO CLEARANCES THAT MUST BE OBTAINEDVIQU have partnered with a growing organisation in Warwickshire who are seeking a Network Engineer that will be integral to the build and maintenance of the new network infrastructure.Key Responsibilities of the Network Engineer:Maintain and support network infrastructure, ensuring consistent performance and reliability.Provide technical expertise across all network-related activities, including configuration and security.Ensure infrastructure meets regulatory and organisational standards.Gather business requirements and offer network solutions aligned with operational goals.Introduce and evaluate new technologies to support continuous improvement.Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies in line with digital objectives.Assess impact of infrastructure changes and ensure quality delivery.Represent the organisation in meetings with partners and stakeholders.Balance service effectiveness with cost-efficiency in all design decisions.Maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.Carry out additional duties appropriate to the role's level as required.Key Requirements of the Network Engineer:Strong understanding of enterprise networking, particularly with Cisco infrastructure (e.g. switches, access points, WAN controllers, VLANs, static and dynamic routing)Experience delivering network upgrades and hardware replacements, including switch swaps and site rolloutsFamiliarity with SD-WAN principles (note: solution is primarily managed by a service provider)Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g. Azure, AWS, Azure vWAN)Experience with network security and monitoring tools (e.g. zScaler, SolarWinds, Microsoft Sentinel)Knowledge of IT service frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 20000, ITSM)Experience working in large, complex IT environmentsSkilled in creating technical documentation and service designsPossess a valid UK driving licence, with the ability to travel regularly and participate in an on-call rotaTo discuss this exciting opportunity in more detail, please APPLY NOW for a no obligation chat with your VIQU Consultant.
