Job Title: Social Worker (Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3) About the Role: Our agency is currently recruiting for temporary Social Worker positions to support Dorset Council. You’ll be working to safeguard children, support families, and deliver services under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation. This role offers clear career progression from entry-level (ASYE) through to experienced social worker. What You’ll Do: * Undertake assessments and develop care plans for children in need, children at risk, and children in care * Work closely with families and other professionals to promote the welfare of children * Prepare reports and attend court where required * Maintain accurate records * Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children * Participate in regular supervision and professional development What We’re Looking For: * Social Work degree (or equivalent) * Registered with Social Work England * DBS clearance * Experience working with children and families (more experience required for Level 2 and Level 3 roles) * Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation * Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills * Ability to travel around the county as needed Additional Information: You’ll be expected to work flexibly and may need to travel throughout Dorset. You’ll have a laptop/tablet for recording information and work in an agile environment.
