Our client-a major food-production facility-is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to own product integrity during the night shift.Why Join This Team? Be the Gatekeeper: Ensure every batch meets rigorous quality, safety, and regulatory standards before it ships.Make an Impact: Your vigilance prevents recalls, protects consumers, and upholds the brand's reputation.Work Independently: Take ownership of processes, with autonomy to troubleshoot and drive improvements.Key Responsibilities In-Process Testing: Conduct routine checks (weight, temperature, pH, visual) on production lines and record results.Finished-Product Inspection: Sample and inspect finished goods against specifications; release or quarantine products as required.Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete QC logs, non-conformance reports, and trending analyses.Equipment Calibration: Verify and calibrate scales, thermometers, and lab equipment to ensure precise measurements.Corrective Actions: Investigate deviations, perform root-cause analysis, and implement or recommend corrective/preventative measures.Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to GMP, HACCP, ISO, and company SOPs; maintain a clean, audit-ready lab environment.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with production, maintenance, and technical teams to resolve quality issues in real time.What You Bring Experience: 1-2 years in a QC or lab role within food manufacturing (or similar regulated environment).Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with lab instruments, sampling plans, and basic data analysis.Attention to Detail: Exceptional observational skills and accuracy in record-keeping.Night-Shift Mindset: Reliable, self-motivated, able to thrive during overnight hours Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate discrepancies methodically and propose practical solutions.Communication: Clear and concise reporting skills, both written and verbal.Desirable Qualifications Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent HACCP certification or ISO awareness Laboratory Apprenticeship or NC in Food Science/Quality Assurance What's in It for You?
