Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.Role: Offshore Installation Manager Business: Scottish Power Renewables - EA3 Duration: 12 month initial contract Location: Lowestoft site based Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available Rotation: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off Main Purpose of JobEnsure Q&HSE policies and procedures are maintained during the offshore worksOverall analysis, recommendation and optimisation of installation and logistics concepts for the offshore installationImplement offshore installation management proceduresEnsure the installation subcontractor's compliance with its contractual obligations, company procedures and legislation for all marine operations, in particular lifting operations and simultaneous operationsEnsure SPR interests are protected offshoreHas real knowledge and understanding of the project structure during construction and for the role of each person on the projectEnsure that competent personnel are appointed to the project teamIs totally aware of the contractor's installations on site, the contract representatives and the supervising engineers and general all team leaders of the contractors working for the projectIs responsible to follow up the construction activity, crew transfer vessels, marine coordinator function, weather reports and forecastIs fully aware of the location off every contractor working on the project, their accomplishments, problems and predictions for the activities and the programControl progress and costs of the project through continuous review of project reports including cost control reports and schedulesEnsure orderly hand-over & close-out of the project, obtain final certificates, archive all project documentation and prepare all close out documentationSupport with development of all installation related processes and documents for controlling and coordination of the offshore site andDaily coordination of the works between the different contractors.Key TasksPromoting a strong, clear and positive health and safety culture for all primary activities, and secondary activities including interfacesPreparing and checking of all key installation documentsDevelopment and management of the package installation procedures and processesManage all offshore quality issues and immediately communicate with the respectively parties regarding the nature of events / incidents / problems during constructionManaging installation contracts and coordinating installation activities on site ensuring system in place to record daily facts for the purpose of contract variations, weather allowances and incentive schemes with the contractorResponsible for the site personnel performanceAttend progress meetings with the installation contractor and take receipt of progress reportsResponsibility for sign off of completion certificates etc.Ensure that the installation activities are completed to specification and schedulesOrganise the project team and motivate its members towards successful achievement of specified project goals, particularly through regular project meetingsAssume the offshore construction manager's responsibilities in the absence of the offshore construction managerClarification of the interferences with the involved contractors: prioritization of works if necessary refusal of planned works if necessarySigning the PTWs (approval or refusal)Daily tracking of the status of works and disrupted workflows in relation to the installation scheduleEvaluation of the run-up time monitoring/expectations and consequences to the installation schedule on a weekly basisPlanning the works of the contractors for the upcoming days/weeks to avoid interferences between the contractorsPrepare resource allocation plan in relation to offshore installation activitiesImplementation of the offshore site installation strategy, including organisation and responsibilities, meeting structure, plans and proceduresKeep the offshore site installation strategy and offshore installation related plans updated andManage and secure interfaces in regard to installation and commissioning.Key Criteria8 years of documented experience within construction management, preferable large scale offshore wind farm projects8 years of documented leadership experience8 years of documented experience within HSE Management andWilling and able to travel independently to our other sites and partner sites as required.
