This includes coordinating regulatory initiatives, developing governance documentation, managing resources and budgets, and supporting risk and performance monitoring. The role involves close collaboration with divisional teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of regulatory priorities, while also contributing to strategic planning and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Lead and support programme, project, and business management activities across designated areas.Coordinate projects and contribute to effective planning and delivery.Prepare and maintain governance documents such as strategies, business plans, and formal reports.Assist in defining scopes of work, budgets, and resource forecasts aligned with organisational goals.Develop and manage tools and controls to monitor performance, resource use, and budget compliance.Analyse data to identify issues and explain variances in performance or financials.Support risk and issue management processes, including regular reviews and updates to risk registers.Compile and coordinate inputs for reports tailored to various stakeholders.Review and track business case submissions to ensure quality and timely approval.Promote a high-performing team culture through effective support and motivation.What you'll need to succeedDemonstrable experience of delivering regulatory initiatives within a highly regulated environment / industry.Strong understanding of programme/project delivery frameworks, tools, and processes.Skilled in leading teams and fostering collaboration.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence, collaborate and partner with stakeholders at all levels.Good all-round ICT knowledge (e.g. MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)Demonstrable analytical and numerical skillsAbility to deliver timely performance at pace and with energy, taking responsibility and accountability for quality outcomes.Financially aware, with a focus on cost-effective public service delivery.Committed to delivering professional, customer-focused services that meet diverse needs.Recognised professional PPM qualification i.e. Prince2, MSP, APM PMQ / PPQSuccessful applicant must be willing to obtain clearance to SC level and must have been a UK resident for 5 years.What you'll get in returnYou can expect a salary in the region of 45,048 to 54,405 (depending on experience), along with a range of other benefits including bonus, civil service pension and up to 33 days annual leave.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
