This role is critical to overseeing round-the-clock operations for multiple production sites across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa.Youll be based in a high-tech control room environment, working in a 24/7 operation that plays a pivotal role in process safety, plant performance, and business continuity across international sites.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage the safe and efficient operation of multiple chemical plants remotelyRespond to alarms, manage plant upsets and initiate recovery strategiesSupport and lead plant start-up/shutdown procedures with minimal disruptionEvaluate process data and KPIs to identify performance issues and implement improvementsMake autonomous decisions in the absence of standard procedures (SOPs)Maintain a strong focus on process safety and regulatory complianceCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational targets are achievedWhat Were Looking ForBackground in heavy industry, ideally with experience in chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing sectorsPrior experience in a control room or DCS/SCADA-based environment is essentialHNC (or higher) in Process, Chemical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering OR equivalent experienceStrong technical aptitude with the ability to make operational decisions under pressureComfortable working a 24/7 rotating shift pattern (including nights)Able to interpret P&IDs and process flow diagrams (PFDs)High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skillsWhats on OfferBase salary of 50,000 + 12,000 shift allowance6-week rotating shift with 10 days off at the end of each cycleComprehensive training program to ensure you're set up for successCareer progression opportunities within a global businessPension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave + bank holidaysAdditional well-being and recognition benefitsNext Steps This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business in a mission-critical role.
