This role is central to delivering high-quality education in Business and Management that equips students with the academic knowledge and skills necessary for success in their degree programmes.As Business and Management Programme Leader, you will be responsible for the strategic, operational and administrative management of our Level 3, 4 and Level 6 Business and Management programme. This includes the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of academic courses tailored to the needs of international students preparing for undertaking degree-level study.Working collaboratively across the Centre and University, you will ensure that our programmes not only support student success but also contribute to the recruitment, retention and progression of international students. You will lead a team of academic staff, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery aligned with institutional goals and best practices in Business and Management education.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the overall Business and Management programme, including progress tracking, and quality improvementLead and manage the delivery of Business and Management academic programmesDesign, review, and enhance curricula to ensure alignment with student needs and institutional objectivesProvide academic leadership to teaching teams, fostering professional development and a culture of excellenceOversee student assessment and marking processes, ensuring they are robust, fair, and supportive of student progressionCollaborate with the centre and university departments and services to support the broader academic and digital skills agendaMonitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, implementing improvements based on feedback and dataEnsure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirementsTeach a varied range of modules for a minimum of 18 hours per weekCarry out objective setting and appraisals for lecturers Explore and implement new technologies to enhance teaching and learning Working with the Head of Learning & Teaching to monitor and evaluate programme performance, ensuring student satisfaction, retention, and attainment targets are metSupport students through mentoring, developmental guidance, and other support servicesPrepare marking and second marking rota Hold personal weekly progress/monitoring meetings with studentsPrepare and upload materials on VLEOversee and manage the VLE section for the Business and Management modules and programmeAttend meetings as requiredWrite semester and annual module and programme reportsPlan and carry out peer observations and writing observation reports.Person SpecificationKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceA masters with significant experience in a relevant subject areaProven experience in teaching and assessing international students at undergraduate level An ability to work autonomouslyPatience, commitment and sensitivity to the needs of international pathway studentsStrong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teaching teamsDemonstrable experience in Business and Management curriculum development and student assessmentExcellent organisational, planning, collaboration and communication skillsA collaborative approach, with experience working across departments or institutionsHigh proficiency in using technology to support teaching, learning, assessment and feedbackAn ability to meet conflicting deadlines A student-focused approach to teaching and learningA strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.This job specification is not exhaustive and may involve the fulfilment of other duties as deemed required by the organisation.This role is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS.Please submit your application to careers@malvernplc.comSalary range - 40,000 - 44,000pa
