Job Title: Clerk of WorksLocation: Decent Homes ProjectSalary: 25 - 28.50 per hour (paye/umbrella)Hours: 37 hours per weekContract Type: Interim - min 3 monthsBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clerk of Works to join our Decent Homes project on an interim basis. As a Clerk of Works, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction work, helping to deliver safe and high-standard homes.Key Responsibilities:Regularly inspect construction sites to monitor progress and quality.Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, and building regulations.Report any issues or deviations to the project manager or architect.Maintain detailed records of inspections and findings.Requirements:Proven experience in a similar role.Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction standards.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and reporting abilities.Benefits:Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Desired Skills and ExperienceClerk of Works to join our Decent Homes project on an interim basis.Client Representation & Quality AssuranceServe as the on-site representative for the client, ensuring all construction activities meet the agreed standards, specifications, and timelines. Oversee the use of appropriate materials and workmanship to deliver high-quality results and value for money. Responsible for signing off completed works, attending handovers, and conducting independent end-of-day inspections on behalf of the client.Technical Knowledge & CompliancePossess strong knowledge of building construction practices, including familiarity with CDM regulations and current health and safety legislation. Previous experience in a similar role within construction or refurbishment environments is essential. Experience with Decent Homes projects is advantageous.Attention to Detail & Quality FocusDemonstrate a meticulous approach to inspections, ensuring both technical standards and health and safety requirements are rigorously upheld. Maintain a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.Communication & Contractor ManagementExhibit excellent communication skills and a strong background in customer service.
