An automotive client of ours is looking to add an Aftersales Buyer to the team. It is an energetic environment which is going through positive transformational change. For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Experience in an automotive market is a bonus but not essential, however someone with experience in manufacturing environment would be a huge advantage.This role is an urgent requirement so relevant CV's will be called back immediately.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with customers to take order requirements and source these through existing suppliers Maintain & manage price listsEnsure effective working capital control and management of inventory levels to control turns.Order book management/scheduling in-line with inventory & MRP recommendations, provide supplier with forecast material demand where possible to achieve a consistent material flow & avoid backorders.Be aware of department KPIs and work towards targets.Cost reduction/avoidance.Validate and place orders daily using MRP & inventory policy reporting etcThis is a fast paced environment that will require someone who can work at pace and enjoys a level of autonomy.
