When you join us as a Assistant Conveyancer, you'll benefit from:Competitive salaryBonus5 housebuilder - Be part of a company that consistently delivers quality homes and outstanding customer satisfactionLife Cover & Contributory PensionEmployee Benefits Platform giving you access to high-street discounts, wellbeing support, and moreCommitted to diversity, inclusion, and empowering your developmentWhat is the role?The purpose of the role is to support the legal team in all aspects of plot conveyancing work, assisting with legal documentation, post-completion processes, and general legal office duties, while gaining experience and contributing to the smooth operation of the team.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with plot work (e.g., reservations, engrossments, filing, exchanges, title checks, and completions) to ensure smooth and timely property transactions.Support conveyancers with their caseloads and provide cover during annual or sick leave to maintain continuity and avoid delays.Handle standard conveyancing matters under supervision to develop legal expertise and contribute to case progress.Manage post-completion tasks such as SDLT returns and Land Registration to finalise transactions and ensure legal compliance.Assist with lease/transfer variations and reversion sales to facilitate accurate and lawful property modifications.Support the recovery of retentions (non-litigious) to secure outstanding funds and close financial matters.Carry out Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks in accordance with legal requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.Respond to requests for certificates of compliance and enquiries from owners on historic sites to provide accurate information and maintain good client relations.Use the Company's case management system to carry out legal tasks and maintain records to ensure efficient workflow and accurate documentation.What experience do I need?Experience in an administrative role (it is desirable that this is in a legal support role, preferably within conveyancing or property law but this is not mandatory).Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively and support multiple team members.Attention to detail and ability to manage routine legal processes.Familiarity with legal case management systems is desirable.Before submitting your application, please take a moment to review our privacy policy, which is available on our corporate website, which will detail how we will process your personal data.TPBN1_UKTJ
